Digital Dental X-Rays

➤ DIGITAL DENTAL X-Rays:

Dental X-rays, also called radiographs, are the images that helps dentists visualise and evaluate the part of the teeth and the surrounding bone that is not visible during an examination of the oral cavity.

At Tamhankar Dental, the use of Digital Dental X-Rays, ensures that the radiation exposure is minimum and images can be viewed within seconds. It aids instant diagnosis and also helps the patient understand the procedure better since it can be viewed directly on the monitor as a magnified image.



➤ INTRA-ORAL X-RAYS:

Intra oral x-ray gives a detailed image of the tooth from the top of the crown to the end of the root along with the surrounding bone. A flexible film is placed adjacent to the tooth to get the desired image.

Tamhankar Dental uses a combination of a portable dental x-ray unit and VistaScan Scanner for minimum radiation, better image quality, quicker images and increased patient comfort.

➤ OPG:

An Orthopantomogram (OPG) is a panoramic x-ray of the entire mouth area which includes all the teeth along with both the upper and lower jaws. During the scan, this specially designed unit rotates around the patient’s head and provides a wholistic image of the teeth and jaws.
